Payne Furnace LED Off

The control board has no power. The manual's first troubleshooting step is to check for 115 V at L1 and L2 and 24 V at SEC-1 and SEC-2.

Likely causes, most common first
- No 115 V reaching the furnace (breaker or service switch off)
- Blower door not seated, so the door interlock switch is holding power off
- Failed transformer
What you can safely check yourself
- Make sure the furnace blower door is fully closed and latched
- Check that the furnace service switch near the unit is ON
- Check the furnace breaker in your electrical panel
When to call a technician
If power is present at the panel and the door is closed but the board is still dark, the door switch, transformer, or board needs a technician with a meter.
A Payne furnace throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
