Safety fault
Gas valve relay fault. The control has found one of the gas valve outputs or relays in the wrong state - either energized without a command or not energizing when commanded.
Manual wording: “(1) 1st stage gas valve not energized when it should be (2) 1st stage gas valve relay stuck closed (3) 2nd stage gas valve relay stuck closed (4) 2nd stage gas valve energized when it should not be (5) 2nd stage gas valve not energized when it should be”

- Turn the furnace switch off and leave it off until a technician has looked at it
When to call a technician
Call a technician. A stuck gas valve relay is a safety fault and normally means replacing the integrated furnace control.
A Trane furnace throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
