Fujitsu Mini-Split Code 63

Hard lockoutShown as: OPERATION lamp blinks 6 times, TIMER lamp blinks 3 times, ECONOMY lamp blinking continuously

Inverter error. The outdoor main board received an error report from the inverter (transistor) board that drives the compressor.

Manual wording: “Inverter Error - Error information received from the inverter PCB.

Documented for: RGLX, RL2/RLS3/RLB/RLXB, RLF/RLF1 outdoor units

Likely causes, most common first

  1. Loose molex connectors on the inverter PCB
  2. Wiring fault between the power supply, filter PCB and transistor PCB
  3. Failed transistor PCB
  4. Failed main PCB or filter PCB

What you can safely check yourself

  • Turn the power off at the outdoor disconnect and the breaker for about 5 minutes, then restore power

When to call a technician

The inverter section holds high-voltage DC capacitors that stay charged after power is removed. Never open the outdoor electrical cover; call a licensed technician.

A Fujitsu mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
