Fujitsu Mini-Split Code 62
Hard lockoutShown as: OPERATION lamp blinks 6 times, TIMER lamp blinks 2 times, ECONOMY lamp blinking continuously
Outdoor unit main PCB error. The outdoor control board failed to access its EEPROM memory after the unit started.
Manual wording: “Outdoor Unit Main PCB Error - Access to EEPROM failed due to some cause after outdoor unit started.”
Documented for: RGLX, RL2/RLS3/RLB/RLXB, RLF/RLF1 outdoor units
Likely causes, most common first
- Voltage drop or poor ground connection at the outdoor unit
- Failed outdoor main PCB
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the power off at the outdoor disconnect and the breaker for about 5 minutes, then restore power and see whether the code clears
When to call a technician
Fujitsu's own procedure after a reset is to check the supply voltage and ground at the condenser and then replace the main board. That is technician work at line voltage.
A Fujitsu mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
